For the in between days when the wind is the problem, this nylon windbreaker takes the edge off without adding weight. The loose straight cut with dropped shoulders leaves plenty of room over a t shirt or a textured jumper, and it stays unlined so the weight stays low. The light synthetic blend has a matte finish that keeps the look plain, while an open lapel collar gives structure without stiffness. Discreet side pockets sit in a seamless finish, and a lightly gathered hem holds a cleaner line.

The fabric is listed on every product page under the description. Most of the range is wool, cashmere, cotton, corduroy or suede, so check there before you wash anything.

Wool and cashmere last longest when they are cleaned as little as possible: air them out, spot clean what you can and only take them for a full clean when they need it. Knitwear keeps its shape better folded than hung. Suede does not like rain, and a soft brush handles most marks.
